This episode of the sahir show supported a desperate plea from a daughter who is in trouble that has crooked her little smile….
Hira is daughter of Chief Officer Mujtaba, who is under the custody of Somalian captors… Piracy on the high seas is becoming an ever more serious problem, at present total 7 ship carrying people from different countries of the world are at the helm of Somalian pirates.
Capt. Wasi (one of the victim of Somalian pirates and a survivor) alongwith his brave daughter Laila and famous social worker Ansar Burney joined Hira in support, request was made to the people to join the cause of bringing Hira’s Father safely back to home …..
The Sahir show is about bringing people together to support…spread peace…share pleasant smiles… wipe tears … lending a hand to a fallen one….give courage to the sufferers…
Live call from India was taken at the show …Sampa the caller dedicated a beautiful poem to Pakistanies…

The Show is basically about a King who is looking for a Queen…. in between enormous fun and entertainment a message was delivered to the viewers about the menace of dowry……
The age old practice: dowry has set roots in all sects of our society; it is so disgusting that even learned people go behind it. Let’s welcome the move Sahir/The team has taken against the menace of dowry…..

The Devil Special – The Sahir Show Review
In terms of its actual contents, The Devil is one of the best show of the season. The show was based on most commonly believed myth in which The Devil…. a powerful, supernatural entity and the enemy of humankind tempts humans to sin or commit evil deeds.
In the show Devil lures decent people and whoever comes in his satanic majesty. First the devil chooses a school teacher and tempts him with money but the teacher refuses all the temptations, declines his proposal and prefers living a pious life than follow his path, next a Doctor and a motor mechanic are trapped.… he persuades them by offering money and guarantees fulfillment of their wildest dreams in exchange of a promise of doing evil deeds….. Devil tricks the saintly victims but in the end everyone remains unmoved which gives yelp of anguish to the devil …
The underlined message of the show was…. those who sale their souls to the devil for the gifts which have no practical value ruin their entire life. Hatred, greed, envy all such vices drag average person to hell…..Our country is also suffering from all these vices and we can make things better by driving out the devil from our hearts by the touch of a hand on a hand and spreading love & peace…..
The Sahir show’s development slate is creating huge buzz… the show definitely deserves your attention for the merits mentioned above.

Festivities commenced on 5-9-2011. The show presented rich culture of Pakistani wedding ceremonies involved much rituals intended to be understandable even to a non-Pakistni audience
Mayoo Celeberation
The show was shot in a Haveli presenting typical Punjabi Culture…on first day i.e. Mayoo day Shazia Manzoor was invited who sang punjabi bhangra songs. In a Pakistani wedding on Mayoo day bride and the groom’s face and hands are anointed with ubtan(made of turmeric,sandlewood paste and oil).
Sahir, his team, groom, and all the the guests of the show played ubtan and danced on dholak beats..sang Mahiye and tappy.

Mehndi Party
A day before wedding the palm and feet of the bride are decorated with “Mendhi”. In a wedding ceremony Mehndi is a festive occasion in which bride and close female members of her family have henna painted on their hands and feet while the rest of the family celebrate with songs. Mehndi signifies the strength of love in a marriage so brides try to leave it on as long as possible!
On Mehndi day Humaira Arshad was the special guest, she sang wedding songs…Sahir and the party performed bhangra on Humaira Arshad’s hit number…Chorus of beautiful girls sang mehndi songs on dholak…..mehndi rasam was performed…altogether the show was simply fantabulous…
Baarat… (Wedding Procession)
On Baraat day viewers were given a suprise….The Sahir Show presented…real wedding of an amazing couple…Babar & Nadia…. Babar due to unemployemt never thought about getting married and Nadia was deaf and dumb….world around the two changed when love found its way to their hearts….there were many problems in their relationship but still they decided to get married…
In between the halla gulla and hip hop wedding masti….a message was delivered to the viewers….
Secret of a successful marriage is love and nothing else…Love is the magician…it is a symbol of eternity which wipes out all fears for Babar it was not an issue that Nadia is deaf/dumb same as Nadia had entire faith in Babar that he shall fight for her with all the difficulties.To find someone who will love you for no reason is the ultimate happiness….
The Baraat was brought with a song …Desa da raja mery dil da…..Nadia and Babar’s parents thanked The Sahir show team for arranging wedding of their kids and givig them a relief…band baja and baraat made the whole program a must watch show.
Rukhsati …The farewell to the bride by her family and friends is a very emotional episode…The bride Nadia left her family with tears of joy and sorrow to build a life with her husband Babar…at the time of rukhsati Fazal Jat sang rukhsati song Babol ke duaen leti ja…

Last show of wedding week was aired on 8-9-2011…on Valima day Sher Minadad sang famous Qawali Dolhy ka sehra sohana lagta hy….Humaira Arshad and her husband filled lots of fun in the show….
Wedding week was a complete fun and entertainment package… The music had a strong mix of Bhangra, the macho groom and bubbly bride, amazing outfits, beautiful location all made the shows super hit…

The Sahir Show -Defense Day Special-06th September 2011

On defense day The Sahir Show paid tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our dear homeland Pakistan …..whose silence sings our national anthem.
Set was decorated with huge posters of Martyrs, Pak Green Flag and mesmerizing green lights. Reema Khan, Abrar-ul-Haq, Humaira Channa, Amjad Islam Amjad, Saira Naseem and most special guests…Martyr’s family was invited at the show.
Humaira Channa praised pakistani soldiers in her beautiful voice

Abrarul Haq presented his love for Pakistan by singing….

Theme of the show was nicely presented…higher souls who wear the martyr’s crown were praised. These heroes died for liberty – they died for Pakistan’s identity-They are at rest. They sleep in the land they made free, under the flag they rendered stainless….
Having paid tribute to the heroes a message was delivered by the host….Sahir said we should finish biasness and live with peace and harmony in the country.
Pakistan is a bouquet of flowers made of Roses (Punjab), Orchids (Sindh), Tulips (NWFP) & Lilies (Balochistan)…. we all love our dear home land…..Long Live Pakistan!!!

The Sahir Show Eid Transmission
The Sahir show “Mumkin he sub kuch hy” earned glowing smiles of its viewers on Eid by presenting three days special transmission ….on first day of Eid A. Nayyar sahib, Bahar Begum, Musarat Shaheen, Madiha Shah and Shafqat Amanat Ali added glamour and charisma to the show.
Shafqat Amanat Ali’s songs…Ni jana khadian dy nal and Tere Naina…..rocked the floor …
On 02nd day of Eid The Sahir show gave double treat to its viewers by presenting two shows… one on Channel Geo News and the other on Geo Entertainment…both the shows went very well…hip hop songs combined with lively chit chat of celebrities sparked joy and happiness ….
The show featured Amna Ulfat, Farhat Misbah , Nargis, Abrarul Haque and ,Vicky,…..Abrar’s songs Mola Rang…Ay mery Pak watan….Asan thy jana Billo dy ghar Bhangra coloured the show with loads of entertainment.
Next up was famous folk singer Lala Atta Ullah Esa Khelvi with his son Sanwal, Sheeba Hassan and Hamid (famous Sona Chandi), Asma Zarnab….
Song mundri da thewa…..Dil lagaya tha dil lagi k liye…..Oho teriyan rahwan oho merian nigahwan Allah de sawn tho ni disda by Lala Atta ullah stole viewers hearts.
On third day Eid celebration continued… Poet Wasi Shah, Rabi, Shahida Mini, Ustad Shaukat Ali were invited at the show.
Wasi Shah read beautiful couplets, Ustad Shaukat Ali sang his famous song…Aja dil janiya….Shahida Mini jee gave beautiful performance on her own composition…all these glittering stars made third day of Eid wonderful for the viewers….
The underlined message of The Sahir show on Eid was….Eid is a festival of happiness and bonding …do not forget we belong to each other….spread love, peace, happiness and smiles….

Sahir Lodhi Celebrates Jashn e Azadi in The Sahir Show
The Sahir show bears its name on the air…. the show is all about selling the viewers entertaining and thoughtful discussions. In August, special show on Jashn e Azadi was presented.
The show started with beautiful national song watan ke miti gawah rehna music in the background… green lights were lit up…national flag was waving…overall ambiance of the set was supporting well theme of the show….everyone was there to pay tribute to beloved homeland Pakistan.
Guest Habib ur Rehman, Truck Art Master was invited first. Truck art is an indigenous form of art performed in Pakistan in which colorful floral patterns, human heroes images are painted on the trucks, calligraphy of poetic verses and driver’s words of wisdom all make this art truly a part of Pakistani transport tradition.

Tho zamen se any lagi sada
Tera dil tho hy sanam ashna

Sikandar Lala was the next guest, he drives across Pakistan all the year and ends up his journey every year on 14th August at Minar e Pakistan, he travels on his bike named Qomi gadi…the bike is decorated with Pakistan’s flag, Jinnah Cap and Ghauri missile image on it…this is his love for Pakistan which makes him an extraordinary Pakistani.
Third guest from everyday life was Asif, he owns a taxi which is decorated with National flag and signatures of many important personalities, Asif has given a beautiful title to this Taxi….peace
Sanam Marvi (famous singer) her husband Hamid and Sahir Rasheed lively chit chat amused the audiences … all the guests at the show expressed their love for Pakistan…
The show gave a beautiful message to the viewers …our object be, our country, our whole country, and nothing but our country.
The show ended with a slogan Pakistan Zindabad…..
